by Instructional Media Lab - Friday, January 9, 2015, 1:30 PM

Most Spring 2015 Moodle courses will be opened to students on Friday, January, 16, however, instructors may choose to delay opening a Moodle course. Also note that not all courses use Moodle.

Students: Need help with Moodle?

If you are a student who is using Moodle for the first time, or you need a refresher on how it works, our Quick Tour of Moodle for Students help page covers everything you need to know to get started with Moodle in your classes, or you can watch this video:

- More Moodle videos are available on the OIT Help Center YouTube Channel
- For more on how to get help with Moodle, see our Moodle Help for Students Support Articles.

Instructors: Have you requested your Moodle courses?

Instructors, you need to Request a Moodle course through SPIRE each time you teach a class.

Once the new course is available, you can easily copy the content from a previous Moodle course into your new, empty course using the Import tool. See Reuse a Moodle Course Using "Import."

IT administrative staff will automatically release Spring courses on Friday, January 16th. If you are not ready for students to use your course, you can hide individual elements of the course or hide the entire course. If you request a course after the start of the semester, you will need to make the course available to students yourself. See Important Settings for your Moodle Course.
