Introduction to the literature of Portugal from 1700 to the present. The main literary currents and techniques of the period and their relation to history and culture. Selections from representative poetry, drama and narrative. Taught in Portuguese. Prerequisite: PORTUG 240 or consent of instructor. (Gen.Ed. AL)
Expands on basic language skills. Greater oral fluency through vocabulary building and review of fundamental language structures. Active class participation. Prerequisite: PORTUG 120 or 126, or equivalent.
